Regenerative beauty

FROM THE INSIDE OUT

For Eclo, regenerative beauty is not a synonym for makeup or a single ingredient story. It is a broader vision of beauty over time: supplements first, alongside skincare and makeup, with demanding formulation, explicit levels of proof and an ongoing effort to improve sourcing and impact.

01

A vision that goes beyond a category

Regenerative beauty connects two ideas: supporting beauty over time, and never separating formulation from the way ingredients and packaging are chosen.

Today this vision is expressed first through our beauty supplements, then through skincare and makeup. Regenerative agriculture remains an important part of our story: some of our cosmetic formulas use actives from supply chains designed to improve the health of soils or ecosystems.

We now avoid shortcuts: a certification, a material or a characteristic such as "vegan" or "compostable" is communicated only for the products to which it genuinely applies.

A historic dimension: cosmetic ingredients from regenerative supply chains.

Rye from Haute-Loire

It has unparalleled powers of soil restructuring through its very wide root network and its ability to resist the coldest temperatures. Rich in arabinoxylan, rye promotes natural healthy glow and therefore found a prime place in the blush range.

French Brown Seaweed

Cultivated on the Breton coast, it has the capacity to sequester a large amount of carbon. It also contributes to cleaning the oceans of phosphates, nitrates and other pollutants from agriculture and promotes marine biodiversity by creating marine habitats for other species. Its smoothing and plumping properties for the skin make it a choice ingredient for the lipstick range. The preservation of seaweed being precious, Eclo naturally turned to seaweed from responsible and reasoned marine farming.

Breton hemp

Its cultivation is not water-demanding, except for pesticides and is adapted to a wide variety of soils. Its residues, rich in nutrients improve their quality and that of future harvests. It depollutes soils by absorbing toxins and heavy metals while reducing carbon emissions. Smoothing and soothing, it presents itself as the key ingredient for the eyeshadow range.

Eclo partenaire de "Pour une agriculture du vivant"

Flagship association in France that accelerates food and agricultural transition by structuring agroecological product channels.

03

Cultivating new sustainable value chains

At Eclo, our commitment to regenerative beauty does not stop at ingredients: it begins in the fields. We go further by co-creating with our farming partners new value chains in regenerative agriculture.

This is notably the case with the flax used in our Complexion Beautifying Care Serums. Traditionally grown for food, this flax was not intended for cosmetics — let alone from regenerative agricultural practices. Together with our farming partner, we initiated a new flax cultivation specifically designed for our formulation, respecting the principles of regenerative agriculture.

This pioneering approach allows us not only to guarantee complete traceability and positive impact on soils, but also to enhance a local plant with exceptional properties for the skin.

We believe that more conscious beauty begins with better cared for soil.
